I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Political Science at Northwestern University, where I conduct research on global nuclear politics. In 2018-2019 I will be a Stanton Nuclear Security Fellow at the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford University. My writing has appeared in the Washington Post, E-International Relations, and the Duck of Minerva. I also serve as Graduate Assistant for the Politics of International Law Working Group through the Northwestern Buffett Institute for Global Studies. My research has been presented at the International Studies Association, the American Political Science Association, and the Program on International Politics, Economics, and Security (PIPES) at the University of Chicago.
I am originally from Pakistan and grew up in and around Chicago. I completed my M.A. from the Committee on International Relations at the University of Chicago and my B.A. from North Central College in Naperville, IL.
